At Bensham Grove we offer a wide range of silversmithing courses. You will have the opportunity to try lots of different practical techniques and to create your own designs.

The Facilities and Tutors

The classes will take place in the pottery workshop. We have a wide range of specialist tools including hand tools, rolling mills and polishers.

You will be taught by one of our three silversmithing tutors who have a wide range of experience and knowledge and will be there to support you each step of the way.

Current Courses

We have a number of courses running during the week, in the daytime and evening and weekend workshops. We also run a structured academic programme from level 1 to level 3.

Beginners Course

This course is designed for complete beginners and normally take place over 4 Saturday workshops or over a 10 week block

This course is designed as the next step after you have completed our beginners course or have some experience in silversmithing. Normally classes take place over 4 Saturday workshops or over a 10 week block.

This course is designed as the next step after you have completed our intermediate courses or if you have experience in silversmithing. Normally classes take place over 4 Saturday workshops or over a 10 week block.

*A small payment of £5.00 towards a kitty that covers solders, flux, saw blades, wet and dry paper etc. that we use in class. There is some copper sheet and wire for practice. After that you will need to provide your own. This can be bought from your tutor direct, or you will be directed to where you can source your own.
