Expectations of Members

• We encourage members to participate in and support: volunteering, fundraising, groups, activities and events at the Centre so that the Centre remains well used and sustainable. Positive promotion to further the reputation of the Centre is important.

• All members must comply with the policies and guidelines regarding social media and fundraising, which can only be carried out with the prior consent of the Trustees who uphold the Conditions of the Centres’ charitable status. These policies are available on request or can be viewed in the Files section of the Friends of Bensham Grove Facebook group.

• All groups should help and encourage other users to keep the buildings clean and tidy and in particular the kitchen areas.

• It is important that all members and users should be vigilant about Health and Safety and report any concerns about safety and security immediately to the Centre staff.

• We request all members to be inclusive and welcoming of everyone who wishes to participate at the Centre. If a member has a concern they would like to discuss, please contact the Centre Manager or any Trustee. Bensham Grove reserves the right to cancel the Membership of any person it considers to be in breach of its code of conduct, policies and guidelines.

• All members should be aware of the Centre Safeguarding policy and work with Trustees and staff to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.

• Membership applies to use of the facilities only.
