Women's Husbandry Guild
Rediscover traditional skills, work with nature and enjoy the company of other women at Bensham Grove’s new Women’s Husbandry Guild.
Meeting fortnightly in our beautiful Grade II listed setting, the Guild offers welcoming, hands-on sessions inspired by the seasons, the garden and time-honoured household knowledge. Each gathering will introduce a different practical activity—from blending your own teas and making salts to creating oils infused with herbs from the Bensham Grove garden.
No previous experience is needed, and all materials and friendly guidance will be provided. Come along to learn something new, share knowledge, meet others and take home something you have made yourself.

Pop up lounge- Pie, peas and a quiz
Enjoy a little comfort food and plenty of friendly company at our October Pop-Up Lounge. We’re bringing people together for a relaxed afternoon of pie and peas, conversation and a fun quiz in the welcoming surroundings of Bensham Grove.
Whether you’re a keen quizzer or simply fancy having a go, there’s no need to be an expert. Expect a little friendly competition, a few laughs and the chance to put your general knowledge to the test.
Our Pop-Up Lounge is a lovely opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet someone new and enjoy time together. If you’ve never visited Bensham Grove before, this is a great way to get to know us. Come along on your own or bring a friend—everyone is welcome.
£3 per person includes pie and peas and the quiz.

The Night Market
Step into the glow of lantern light and discover Gateshead’s most enchanting autumn tradition. The Bensham Grove Spooky Night Market returns with an irresistible mix of tarot readers, witchy wares, curious crafts and beautifully strange creations from local makers.
Wander through stalls nestled inside our historic grounds, soak up the eerie‑warm atmosphere, and explore a world of magical oddities, handcrafted treasures and mystical surprises. Whether you’re hunting for something unique or simply craving a night filled with character, this is the place where heritage, creativity and community come alive.

Photography exhibition
Join us at Bensham Grove for an afternoon celebrating photography, creativity and the pleasure of seeing the world through a different lens.
This exhibition showcases photographs taken by members of the Click Media Group during their time attending the photography groups. Featuring a variety of styles, genres and personal favourites, the collection reflects what members have learned and their creative journeys towards becoming confident photographers.
From striking wildlife images to atmospheric landscapes, there will be plenty to explore and enjoy. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast, an aspiring photographer or simply curious to see the group’s work, we’d love you to join us and celebrate their achievements.
Enjoy the exhibition in the beautiful surroundings of Bensham Grove, with a glass of Prosecco included in your £5 entry.
